If an NPC is invisible, confirm that the release supports the exact Minecraft/Paper build, then test with ViaVersion and ProtocolLib updated. If creation reports a native backend failure, inspect the server log for reflection or packet errors. For skin failures, verify outbound access to Mojang services and the fallback skin account.

If clicks execute twice, update to the latest build containing click deduplication and check for external interaction listeners. If actions do nothing, use /npc action ... list, verify the prefix and confirm the target command works independently. For MySQL failures, validate the JDBC URL and credentials; fallback-to-yaml should keep the plugin working when enabled. After Citizens import, use /npc list and /npc goto to audit every converted NPC.
