Requirements and Installation

Place the DKNPCs JAR in plugins and restart the server. The descriptor declares Bukkit API 1.13 and publishes compatibility across a broad range of Bukkit, Spigot, Paper and Purpur versions; use the official compatibility section for the exact release matrix. The management command is /npc, with aliases /dknpc and /dknpcs.

Soft dependencies are ProtocolLib, Skript, ViaVersion and Citizens. Skript enables the documented scripting syntax. Citizens is only needed as a migration source. ProtocolLib/ViaVersion can assist compatibility depending on the server build, while the plugin also has its own native Paper backend. Verify the startup log after any Minecraft update because packet-backed player NPCs are sensitive to server internals.
