Creation, Types and Skins

Atualizado em 24/09/2026

A player NPC requires a unique internal name and a skin-player name. The MojangSkinFetcher contacts the skin service and stores skin data so the NPC can be recreated. If a skin is unavailable, the configured skins.placeholder-fallback value is used; the default artifact value is dksub15. The language file explicitly reports when fallback was necessary.

The current implementation also has an entity creation path and records the NPC type. For player NPCs, use the explicit player form when a command parser could confuse a type with a skin name. Skin changes are asynchronous, so wait for the success or failure message before issuing another change to the same NPC.
